Daily Living Costs
An amount you have to pay to cover things like rent, food and bills if you live in a care home. When the cap on care costs is introduced in April 2016, daily living costs - at £230 per week - will be excluded from your care account. When you reach the cap and the council is paying for your care and support, you will still be responsible for contributing to your daily living costs.

Dignity
Being worthy of respect as a human being and being treated as if you matter. You should be treated with dignity by everyone involved in your care and support. If dignity is not part of the care and support you receive, you may feel uncomfortable, embarrassed and unable to make decisions for yourself. Dignity applies equally to everyone, regardless of whether they have capacity.
